SvnBd is a Subversion hosting console at rbd.svn.bd. This page explains what it stores, why, and what it does with a Google account when an administrator connects Google Drive.
What we store
- Accounts. User names, email addresses and passwords. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes.
- Repositories. The files and history you commit, and the access rules set in the console.
- Audit log. Sign-ins and administrative actions, with the time and the IP address they came from, so administrators can see who changed what.
- Billing records. Plans, invoices and payment status for accounts on a paid plan.
We use this data only to run the service. We do not sell it, show advertising, or share it with third parties, except where the law requires it.
Google Drive backup
The platform administrator can connect a Google account so that SvnBd uploads backup copies of the repositories to that account's Google Drive. When it is connected:
- SvnBd asks only for the drive.file permission. With it, SvnBd can see and change only the files and folders it created itself. It cannot read, list or change anything else in that Drive.
- It reads the account's email address and Drive storage usage to show them in the console.
- It creates a folder (by default SvnBd backups), uploads zipped repository copies into it, and deletes older copies beyond the number the administrator chose to keep.
- The access token Google issues is stored encrypted on the SvnBd server and is used for nothing else.
SvnBd's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not transferred to anyone, not used for advertising, and not read by people except when needed for security or to comply with the law.
To disconnect, use Disconnect on the console's Google Drive page, or remove SvnBd's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The backup files already uploaded stay in your Drive until you delete them.
Cookies
The console uses a sign-in cookie and an anti-forgery cookie. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
Keeping and deleting data
Data is kept while the account exists. Ask us to delete an account and we remove it together with its repositories. Server backups roll over and are gone within 30 days.
